Cardiff Higher Education Roadshow
Our project is designed to demystify the university experience by illustrating the benefits of life at university and overcoming common misconceptions about higher education. Our talks include information about higher education, the benefits associated with further study and the importance of working hard at school.
Our sessions are designed to last between 20-60 minutes and are ideal for extended assembly and PSE sessions. You can view more information and book a talk or workshop below.

Financing University / Budgeting
This workshop and/or presentation looks at planning and budgeting for university life, with a focus on weekly and monthly expenditures. It also explores the different ways that university can be funded.
An Introduction to Sports Degrees at University
This topic is perfect for students who enjoy sport and/or science. Its aim is to demonstrate to pupils that there is a huge variety of sports-related degrees that you can study in the UK, with a very accessible entry requirement grade range.
This is a perfect topic to pair with a site visit to Cardiff University or Cardiff Metropolitan University where pupils can explore our facilities, meet current students and professors, and be inspired! Contact heroadshow@cardiff.ac.uk for more details!
Building Resilience and Managing your Mental Health
This subject is designed to inform pupils on what resilience is and how they can learn to be resilient to manage their mental health during times of stress at school, college, university or in their working lives. This is a great talk / workshop for students doing their GCSEs, or for smaller groups who are struggling with their mental health.
